A Play of Colour and Shape
The mandala is made up of small circles of approx. 2 cm, made of recycled wool and crocheted cotton. Each circle is carefully created and together forms a harmonious composition. The colour gradient starts bright in the centre and gradually darkens towards the outer edges, giving a sense of depth and movement. The variation in colours reflects the diversity and beauty of life itself.
The Story Behind the Materials
What makes this painting extra special is the use of leftover materials. The wool and cotton come from old projects. By breathing new life into this wool, I show how art can contribute to a more sustainable world. Each piece of material carries its own history, which gives the artwork a deeper meaning.
